Conference Information

Venue

The conference will hold at Central Library from University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Splaiul Independentei nr. 313, sector 6. 

Organizer

University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest is the largest and the oldest technical university in the country and among the most prestigious universities in Romania. The tradition of our institution, developed in over 190 years through the effort of the most important nation’s schoolmasters and of the generations of students, is not the only convincing reason. Today, University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest is undergoing a continuous modernization process, being involved in a permanent dialogue with great universities in Europe and all over the world.

The mission of University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest has been thought over as a blend of education, research and innovation, which represents a key towards a knowledge-based society and economy. Creating knowledge mainly by scientific research, giving it out by education and professional training, disseminating it by information technologies, as well as the use of technological innovation are elements that define the university distinctive profile.


Registration Fees

All participants must pay the registration fee before arrival at the conference venue. Participants are also advised to have a copy of their payment slip when going to the registration desk at the conference just in case they are requested to show proof of the payment on their arrival.

Badge

Badges denoting registration status will be given to all participants upon their check-in at the registration desk. 

Official language

The official language of the Congress is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.

Passaport and visas

All foreign visitors must have a valid passport. However, it is advisable to contact the Romanian Embassy in your country for information on visas and health certificates if required.

Letters of invitation

Requests for Letters of Invitation for VISA purposes should be directed to the Organizing Secretariat at contact@biommedd2022.ro.

Please note that such a letter cannot grant any financial support. The Letter will be sent after the payment of the registration fee.

Insurance

The Organizing Secretariat cannot accept responsibility for accidents or damage to participants or accompanying persons before, during, or after Conference. Participants are urged to make their arrangements concerning travel and health insurance.

WI-FI

Free internet wi-fi connection will be provided everywhere in the Conference venue areas.

Mobile Phones

Participants are kindly requested to keep their mobile phones in the off position in the rooms where scientific sessions are being held.

Certificates of attendance

Participants will receive their certificate of attendance by email.

Audiovisual aids

Each room will be equipped with personal computers for the video presentation. The slides should be prepared with the program Windows PowerPoint – not Macintosh / Apple – with 800×600 or 1024×768 resolution. The presentations should be delivered on a USB Pendrive. It is not allowed to use your computer.

The delivery of the slides to the Slide Center will be made in time before the corresponding session.

Important Note

For the conference program to be respected, strict compliance with all the times indicated is essential. Speakers are therefore requested to strictly follow the assigned times. In addition to the thanks for having accepted such a heavy burden, the Chairmen should also be prayed to be inflexible in enforcing the scheduled hours.

Liability

The BIOMMEDD’2022 Conference Organizers reserve the right to amend any part of the Conference program, if necessary, at any time.

BIOMMEDD’2022 Conference Organizers will not accept liability for damages of any nature sustained by delegates or accompanying persons, or loss of, or damage to their personal property because of the Conference. In the event of any other unforeseen circumstances, BIOMMEDD’2022 Conference Organizers accept no responsibility for the loss of monies incurred by delegates. Delegates should make their arrangements concerning personal insurance and travel insurance.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation of registrations should be made in writing to the BIOMMEDD’2022 Secretariat at contact@biommedd2022.ro.

For every written cancellation received in a maximum of 15 working days before the conference begins (20.07.2022), a full refund will be made.

If you will cancel after this date, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded.

All refunds will be made within one month after the cancelation request.

Covid

As part of the measures to contain the spread of COVID-19, individual member states of the European Union have introduced travel restrictions, including at certain borders between these states. Depending on the developments of the epidemiological situation both within and outside the EU, travel restrictions may be eased or reintroduced. All travelers are responsible for verifying the travel restrictions in place before departure. Visa holders are not automatically entitled to enter Romania and must respect the travel restrictions in place. Visa processing fees are not refundable, should holders’ boarding towards Romania, their entry into Romania not be permitted or should they be placed under compulsory quarantine or in self-isolation. Entrance in Romania

Visitors from other European Union member countries may enter in Romania using either passport of their Nation Identity Document. It is required that visitors from non EU member countries to have a valid passport, and a visa if required. Inquiries regarding visas can be directed to Romanian Diplomatic Representatives abroad.

Local language

The main language spoken is Romanian. Tourist information, menus etc. are mostly always available in English and French.

Currency and exchange

All major international credit cards are accepted. Foreign currency can be exchanged in Romania at banks and foreign exchange offices. The Romanian currency is Leu (RON).

VAT

There is a value added tax of 19% applied to all products and services, but most prices will include it. When it is not included, it should be clearly indicated.
